Common questions
Does it need installation?
No. Stairio 360 works on any continuous handrail, riding the one you already have, so there are no tracks, cables or fixings to install. We take a quick look at your site with you when you book a demo.
What does Stairio flag?
Blocked exits, open or propped fire doors, wet floors and spills, litter and cigarette butts, pests, missing extinguishers, and damaged steps or handrails. Every finding comes with its photo, and your team confirms it before anything is actioned.
How do we know where each issue is?
Each photo is tied to where it was taken along the handrail, so every finding shows the floor it is near and opens in its 360° view.
What if the stairwell has no signal?
Stairio uses Wi-Fi and switches to its built-in 4G automatically when Wi-Fi drops. Where there is no signal at all, photos stay on board until they are safely uploaded.
What happens after an issue is found?
The Stairio app keeps each finding’s photo, floor and status together. Your team can assign it, recheck it on the next round, include it in inspection reports and follow temperature, humidity and air-quality trends.
What about people in the photos?
The robot asks people nearby to make room, and faces can optionally be blurred automatically. How long photos are kept and who can see them follow your privacy policy.
Can it run on a schedule?
Yes. Set the times and how often in the Stairio app, for example every two hours or overnight only, or start a round by hand at any time.
Who looks after it?
We do. Setup, training, maintenance and repairs are included, so your team only deals with the findings.
Can it be tailored to our site?
Yes. Alert channels (WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, email), monthly PDF/Excel reports, user roles, image handling and links to your work-order or building-management system can all be set up for your site and team.
