How we calculate
- A check takes about 41 min for 30 floors (our survey of Hong Kong property-management staff), scaled by floors.
- Staff time includes recovery after stairs, by Murrell’s rest formula (stairs 7.5 METs, 70 kg): about 0.55 min per min.
- Guards at HK$20,000 a month on 26 twelve-hour shifts, plus 5% MPF.
